Angel Cat Sugar (© 2008 YUKO SHIMIZU/ TACT.C.INC.) is a franchise which while not officially a Sanrio universe, is from Hello Kitty designer Yuko Shimizu. It features a female cat of the same name, sometimes known simply as Sugar-chan.
The character has been compared with the earlier Hello Kitty, but did not overtake her.

- Angel Cat Sugar: Born May 17, and also known as Sugar (honorifics: chan). A female winged cat with a crown and the princess of Angel World.
- Fennel: The father of Angel Cat Sugar and a veterinarian.
- Mint: The mother of Angel Cat Sugar and a nurse.
Friends
- Basil: Tomboyish angel girl in pink. Likes to grow flowers.
- Thyme: Cheerful angel boy in purple, who likes to encourage the bashful Sugar.
- Parsley: Smart and occasionally fussy angel boy in green.
In the media
- It has received a series of books, and a video game of the same name for Nintendo DS and Windows. There are also two iPhone/iPad apps; a Touch'n Turn Puzzle and Picture Book.
